Problem

Team struggled with completing the assigned tasks, many tasks were either delayed or not done properly just to achieve the deadline

Root Cause

This was a result of planning and taking on too many deliverables, as we underestimated the time and effort needed to achieve some of these deliverables.

Eg. Videos and Blog Posts take time to be written, shot, & edited.

Intervention

Readjusted our deliverables by prioritising deliverables that directly affected our project outcomes. This gave us a clearer direction of tasks that can be forgoed, delayed and focus on more urgent deliverables.

Result

The reprioritized tasks helped the team to feel less overwhelmed and stressed, and be more capable of completing tasks given properly.

This ensured that our project flowed more smoothly without compromising on the main deliverables

Challenge 2:
Sales

Trial Run

Final Run

Problem

Did not hit our sales target of 3-5 sales per seller for our trial run

Root Cause

This was a result of overestimating the amount of support we would receive and people buying our products during our soft launch.

Expected word of mouth to be effective enough, no online promotion of our website

Intervention

Readjusted our Marketing plan and website layout for our final run.

Final Run of 4 Weeks:

1 Week dedicated to each seller (Social media promotion, "Featured Seller" on the website)

Results

Saw an increase of engagement rate both on our social media and website.

Sales for the featured seller of the week increased for all 4 sellers

Exceded our target to hit 10- 15 sales per seller.

Challenge 3:
Manpower Allocation

Trial Run

Problem

Lack of Manpower for Weekly Saturday deliveries.

Deliveries were often delayed or pushed back

Root Cause

Route Optimization and referring to our master excel sheet to the sort orders were only done on Saturday itself.

Extra time wasted on admin work that could be done beforehand, thus starting and ending deliveries late

Final Run

Intervention

Dedicated time during our Thursday meetings to optimize the week's delivery routes and sort orders according to customer.

Pre-packed labels with customer details and items bought for easy reference when physically packing orders on Saturday.

Results

The prepared beforehand labels helped the team to sort orders easily during our Saturday Collections before delivery.

Served as a double check in case we miscounted the number of collected items to make necessary changes.

Deliveries were much smoother and more productive.
