PORTFOLIO
Our Solutions
Flashback aims to support local vanishing trades in Singapore by increasing business sales, and secondarily by renewing Singaporean’s appreciation of the culture heritage behind these traditional local trades to ensure that these aspects of Singapore’s cultural heritage can carry on past our generation.
Online collective platform
Ethnic goods from vanishing trades are listed online where customers can view them and make purchases.
It also features a filter function, allowing customers to narrow down their searches. After putting the items they want into their cart, they can check out and proceed to payment.
Time Management
Taking from our Project Management module, we utilised a Gantt Chart. This allowed us to scrutinise the needs and opportunities of each department to successfully remain sustainable, motivated and keep to strict deadlines to ensure smooth operations and remain strong within our team dynamics.
People Management
The importance of delegating effectively reflects how empowered team members feel which strengthens their skills, decision-making ultimately, and productivity (Forbes, 2019). Darwing inspiration from this, we delegated task based on strengths, which allowed us to work as a cross-functional team.
Blogs
Shared insights into the lives of cultural good sellers and their trades, allowing Singaporeans to truly connect with and understand the vendors.
This increases awareness and appreciation of the narrative behind vanishing trades in Singapore, letting them appreciate and support these cultural movements that were in the past.
To promote our project with the objective of providing a compact view of our project and to drive up sales.
We also uploaded engaging videos such as ‘Review of goods from vendors’, to provoke interest and posting project updates to promote transparency, enhancing trust and connectivity amongst our audience.
Online Collective Platform
To kick start our journey, Flashback did some community mapping to learn more about the existing local vanishing trades in Singapore and to further discover the needs of theirs that society can fulfill.
Along this journey, we proposed our idea of an online collective platform and invited these vendors to collaborate with us to list their products online. We personally met up with up to 12 businesses, visiting them at their shops, hoping to onboard 5-6 of them.
Our Vendors
Our initial aim to onboard 5-6 sellers to collaborate on our collective platform was not met due to multiple reasons including the fear of marked up prices, but we managed to welcome four of the sellers to work with us.

Our Sales Target vs Sales Achievement
Our targets were set based on the feasibility of what items can be sold and its prices point. After discussions with our individual vendors, we managed to exceed all our targets for the number of products to be listed, these are based on vendors' recommendations and customer's demand from our market research.
Onboarding lesser sellers has allowed us to increased our product capacity. Hence, listing more products per seller.
Our weekly sales target were met during our trial launch, and we pushed further during our final launch to promote all the products.
